Trained at Oxford School of Drama for 3 years. Chris Royle is an award-winning British male voiceover artist. Working in the industry for nearly a decade he has had the pleasure of voicing campaigns for some of the world's leading brands. With a versatile voice and experience in Feature films, TV shows, Commercials, Audiobooks and Documentaries, Chris elevates each script and captivates audiences from around the world. I trained at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and worked in Television, Theatre and Radio for several years. I have been a speech and phonetics tutor alongside running Drama and Presentation Skills workshops.

A global voice since 2005, I was with a London agency for many years but went indepedent in 2016. As a trained actor I did refresher acting training during the Covid lockdown periods - Method Acting refresher with Brian Timoney.

Voice training: 2005 and ongoing) constant upskilling by contributing to professional training from experts in the voice industry, through membership of professional organisations (Spotlight, Equity, Gravy For the Brain, The Voice Over Network).

Genre training: intensive audiobook workshops and personal mentoring with US-based coach PJ Ochlan; narrative VO personal training with Dian Perry; gaming voice training workshops with Dave Fennoy and Randall Ryan 2018-22.

Sound studio operations training with ex-BBC sound-engineer and techical coach Roger Woos, UK.

Chris is an internationally represented and award winning professional British voice over actor with his most recent award being “Most Innovative Voiceover Specialist 2020: ***** *******” from the UK Enterprise Awards (SME News) and “British Voice Actor of the Year 2020” - Business Excellence Awards (Acquisition International Magazine)

With over 12+ years’ experience and recognition in the voice over industry garnering a professional membership to the World Voices Industry Association.
