Education
In terms of formal training, I am a scientist/engineer at the interface of chemistry and IT. But I am also a singer in a choir, a rock singer and a podcaster and have a lot of experience in giving presentations and moderating discussions (especially for non-hierarchical, self-organised groups).
My mother tongue is German. I grew up in a rural area in Rhineland-Palatinate and enjoyed a "bilingual" education: I was speaking in the local dialect with my mother and in High German with my father. Due to that, the local dialect did not bleed into my high german, but I can also switch to a very authentic "Geminner Platt" if that is needed (you can check that out in my voice samples as well). Based on this, I have developed a talent to imitate other German dialects, although these won't be as authentic as my native dialect.
I lived in Australia for six months and have been working with international teams for a long time, so I feel confident to record in English as well. I have been heavily influenced by the Australian accent in terms of my "intuitive" English speaking, but I can still speak with a German accent if that is required.
I am currently heavily involved in learning Arabic, so if you need the voice of a guy who speaks bad Modern Standard Arabic with a heavy German accent, I can do that too 🙂
